OPCFED Code of Ethics (DRAFT 1/26/09)
Organizations applying for OPCFED membership must:
- Adhere to a privacy policy that discloses how membership information is used and shared, and provides members with the means to update personal information. Privacy policies must be reviewed and approved by OPCFED annually.
- Provide members with a process for filing privacy-related complaints, including theird party dispute mediation relating to the use of personally identifiable member information.
- Ensure that any pages collecting and/or transmitting sensitive and/or personal information are encrypted using Secured Socket Layers (SSLs) or other comparable technology.
- Display the OPCFED certification seal and link to OPCFED in conjunction with OpenID registration.
- Obtain annual recertification.
