OpenID is rapidly evolving into the glue that binds us together electronically. At times, we may want OpenID to verify that there is a real person with valid credentials behind the OpenID. The OpenID Provider Certification Federation (OPCFED), a not-for-profit 501(c)3 organization, uses the strength of established membership associations to credential OpenID accounts. When you see the OPCFED Seal, you know you are dealing with a real person with real credentials. OpenID providers that are certified by OPCFED must agree to abide by an established Code of Ethics that protects the privacy and identites of its OpenID account holders.
